Andrew Haddon - Auto Surgeon
I started my time in the automotive industry way back in 1983 (yes we did have cars and trucks then, LOL) doing my apprenticeship and Advanced Trade Certificate at the Wanganui District Council.
The council operated a huge range of equipment which gave me a very broad automotive education. Basically, if you can stick fuel in it and tyres on it, then I've worked on it! Everything from cars, trucks and light commercials to graders, loaders, mowers and tractors.
I stayed on at council after completing my apprenticeship, eventually working there for 11 years. This included three years in fleet management, administration and parts inventory, giving me skills and experience beyond the basic tools of the trade.
After moving on from the council I worked for various other companies with duties ranging from mechanic in larger workshops to foreman and service manager, before launching Miracle Motors in 2007.
